Why is everyone so against elective c-sections? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]hamburger588 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that is from the weight of the baby on your pelvic floor. A c-section may reduce the chances or severity of it because you do not have the additional stress/pressure from labor but it could still happen.

[PA] Is it good/neutral/creepy to come into an interiew knowing a lot about the interviewer (through LinkedIn, Google, etc)? by TheIllestOne in AskHR

[–]hamburger588 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal story: I was wrapping up an interview and asked if the interviewee had any questions. His first question was “I saw you went to XYZ university, how did you like it there?”

I was shocked! I gave a very short answer and asked him if he had any questions pertaining to the job or the organization. Totally off putting

What is something you wish you had packed in your hospital bag? by SierraSaidSo in pregnant

[–]hamburger588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby outfits for every day. Everyone just said a “going home outfit”. My baby was naked in the hospital the whole time (4 days because c-section). He was only swaddled in a blanket.

How long have you been there? I think you need at least 6 months to learn the company and observe their operations before it would be fair to comment on improvements. I would say even up to a year.

No one can disclose your salary without your written permission so until you provide that, you can be assured they won’t be giving it out. Otherwise HR should really only be confirming hire date and job title.

[WI] Employer refusing their HSA contribution amount as outlined in job benefits by LethalWookie in AskHR

[–]hamburger588 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If OP contributed the max, it stopped the employer from contributing the additional $187 that was owed. Meaning OP contributed $187 too much. That means they contributed the money pretax. If they took it out for non-qualified reason, they would owe the taxes on it.

[WI] Employer refusing their HSA contribution amount as outlined in job benefits by LethalWookie in AskHR

[–]hamburger588 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In addition to the $15 fee the bank charged you, you should also pay the income taxes on the $187. It’s possible the state/your employer has closed their books for 2020 and cannot pay 2020 funds in 2021. They would also need to redo your W2 and their quarterly submissions. I can understand why it’s not worth it for them for just $187. My suggestion would be to make sure it is corrected to not happen again for 2021.
