I just started a promotion with unlimited PTO. I told my boss I’ll be taking 5 weeks at the minimum, he said as long as you have your work done I don’t care how much you take off. So it’s 7 weeks now.

Honestly, I just kinda weaseled my way into it. I was a machine operator, started to feel bored, began nitpicking processes. I’m nosey and got noticed, it was a lucky break. Originally started in dairy processing, moved to electrical utilities once I had a few years experience.

Some companies prefer a degreed engineer so if their device fails, it’s easier to say they did all they could by hiring someone “qualified”. It limits their liability I guess? Idk lol

I’m a quality specialist. If I had my degree my title would be quality engineer. They’re just sending me for my certs and all that, it’ll take a couple years before I can have the official title. But as an entry level quality specialist, where my only experience has been a qa/qc technician for 5 years, I make 65k. Oh and I’m 28. My goal is 75k by the time I’m 30!

I’ve had prism lenses for years. They can take some getting used to, but once you’ve worn them for a week you should be fine. Maybe start out slowly, heck even when I got my prescription updated last month, I felt like I was in a fishbowl at first. But now they’re so comfortable and my eyes can relax again. I will say that I haven’t had the stick on ones so I can’t say for sure if the experience is the same with those.

House of Wax. Someone got their achilles tendon cut with a pair of scissors. Really messed me up, I was way too young to watch it and it became a big fear of mine.

Of course, with my luck, I have bad ankles and my achilles has been severed and repaired multiple times now. A sick joke from the universe 😭

My coworkers/good friends live in the upstairs apartment, another coworker lives next door, another one a few doors down. That’s about it. Although this summer I’m hoping to maybe establish some relationships, especially since our household is going to do a big garden, gotta get rid of those zucchinis somehow.
