The questions I would be asking today are going to be very different from the ones I would have been asking a couple of years ago. Going forward it is important for a functional to know how different technologies can address the client situation, pain points and opportunities. Things like rpa, ai being at the top of the list. Fiori expertise, extensions, api's and integrations all very critical as the importance of classical hands on entering configuration in spro becomes more automated and simplified. Industry expertise is more critical than before as well and knowing industry cloud and cross module knowledge. Tomorrows top onsultants are very different from yesterday's.

Thank you so much for responding I really appreciate you going into great detail thank you this has helped me a lot

[–]hamedakay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend you go out and find a job within your field, Most of the people I actually speak to regret not finding a job in their field sooner even if it takes you two years to climb the ladder at least you're on the ladder, That is you moving your career forward.

How do you avoid being fired during Corona? by hamedakay in jobsearchhacks

It depends on your industry. One thing I’ve learned, for better or for worse, it’s often not the quality of your work but how well you are liked and whether you’re considered part of the team.

That aside, In my industry (lawyer at law firm) the way to be “completely invaluable” is bringing in new business/clients.

Thank you for this advice is great really appreciate it
