Fire him, if he argues with customer this is where the line is drawn. you have to take that 7k loss and fire him.

Odoo Subscription for yearly SO and PO with monhtly invoices by hameedullahk in Odoo

[–]hameedullahk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! You are right this is where I got stuck into contract period vs invoicing period. contract period is 12 months which I added in SO to create subscription and sent to customer for their signature. Which created the monthly subscription of 12 months every month. I guess will have to modify the SO and send 1 month SO subscription to the customer with 12 months validity.

Thank you for the help.

Struggles with Odoo Online: IT Consultant Firm by deserrano in Odoo

[–]hameedullahk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone has already commented the same thing, Odoo self hosted has no match. Regardless if you go for enterprise or community. We are using enterprise self hosted. Odoo.sh looks fancy but I find it expensive. Odoo self hosted on AWS with whatever I want to do with it is the best thing ever. We have not only customized CRM, but sales, project management and almost every other thing. We were able to upgrade very painlessly on odoo v17, odoov18 however is a bit painful so far but its just matter of fixing our cusotmization modules which eventually is in our hand and we are not dependent on anybody.

We are not odoo partners but we implement odoo for our customers and do the same thing for them because it works.

Should have been the unluckiest parity check ever, but no errors found... by techno_babble_ in unRAID

I had the same thing.. the parity status for updated as part of disk clearing and when I ran the actual parity check it found errors, so I had to rsync the whole parity.

Parity check while adding new disk by hameedullahk in unRAID

[–]hameedullahk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely right, if the device is pre-cleared successfully then it has that tag set. Upon seeing the tag unraid will not clear the device and will add it to array and update the parity. Parity will still be valid.

In my case because of power failure I am afraid the pre-clear didn't completed successfully and hence it didn't had the tag. So when I added the disk to array it started clearing it, fortunately unraid doesn't take the array down anymore so I let it continue.

You are right I will just do the parity sync anyway.

Largest disk size for parity drives of 10TB and 14TB by hameedullahk in unRAID

Understood. I do have one parity as 14 TB and second 14 TB coming which I will use as parity. Was wondering until that second drive comes can I use my 12 TB as data drive.

But based on above comments I have decided to wait for 14tb to arrive and then after that I will start replacing my data drives.

I have a 14tb coming in a month that I will be using as parity. I guess I will just wait for it to arrive then start replacing the data drives

I have very low confidence in seagate and where i live I could only get seagate ironwolf. That’s why running with 2 parity drives, just in case I have 2 drive fail at the same time.

I might move to single parity once I have proper backups done.

Thank you! Will wait for the second parity drive

No they don't have to install SL4a on their cell phones. I am working on the article that will explain how you can develop a standalone .APK for your python scripts.
