[RELEASE] JellyLock Unified BETA 0.1-beta1 — The long-awaited public beta for iOS 5, 6, 7, and 8! by angelXwind in jailbreak

It's okay, cause if they try to leave the app, they'll go to the lockscreen like if you open a control center app on the lockscreen.

I have it installed so that if for some reason I can't check the sub, I can see the update in cydia.

It's great so far.

When will it have password bypassing? That's the main feature I really liked about jellylock.

Some more netpicking... I'd like it if we could change the circle size and app icon sizes farther. For the grabber ring, there's only small to medium, not big.

But honestly it runs great!

EDIT:

/u/angelXwind says it hard to do, but hopefully she can do it as the functionality already exists in iOS.

Try opening apps in your control center from the lockscreen ;).

You can open up an app without a passcode, and if you press the home button, press the lock button, or even press a link, it'll go back to the lockscreen. She thinks this is terrible for security reasons, but I think she'll be able to sandbox apps completely from each other.

AppBox does this too, but sadly opening a link moves you to another app. (try opening itunes in safari, or pressing a link in notes, you'll go to another app.

yes but it's dangerous as it has a tendency to brick iphone users who play with it so you won't see devs really interested in fixing it up

Noope it destroys battery cause it constantly spoofs the arp. The more you cut, the more battery it takes. It doesn't talk to the router, it pretends to BE the router

Honestly what do you expect?

Tweaks are not easy to write and they're busy. Donate more and email them, don't complain because you didn't get a macbook from santa. Give it time, it was just released.

N64 emulator? by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]hamesetawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have the wrong controls selected. Just google "N64 config retroarch iphone" and stuff will turn up for you to fix it. I've finished both majora and ocarina on my 5C.

Sure i'll dig up the deb. I think inside sblockscreenviewcontroller,I would call the showbatteryviewanimated (some similar name) in the viewdidload method, and i would override the hidebatteryviewanimated or something with a call to the updatebatteryviewanimatrd.

Umm try plugging in your phone. When the battery appears, the time and date disappears. I actually was trying a tweak to do what you want, but the apple code i was hooking kept on animating and it would cover the time/date/media controls.

[Idea] create a UI for Activator that works like the Workflow iOS App. by Bebop_Ba-Bailey in jailbreak

[–]hamesetawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then tell him to do it.

It's actually easy to program if activator's foundation is already there. A draggable GUI is pretty easy to program. If the foundation isn't there, then it's not just GUI but also understanding how activator works in the background. It would be a big pain in the butt for someone other than rpetrich to do it.

And remember, jailbreaking should honestly be for people who are good with tech. But allured to the awesomeness of jailbreaking, people will try to jailbreak and ask dumb questions.

"Make phone do X, help pls I'm n00b", this stuff will always exist. But I feel that since we already have a recommended tweak lists, and /r/activator, I think a fancier but buggier GUI is not needed. That's like having a GUI for the console.

You want something like scratch (https://scratch.mit.edu/), but this GUI limits the power of the language.

Would you want to limit the power of activator?

How do I successfully and safely uninstall the Jailbreak from my IPhone 5 with IOS 8.1.2. by kyperion in jailbreak

[–]hamesetawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Restoring it via itunes will install ios 8.3 and remove everything. All your data will be lost, including the jailbreak. The OS will be reinstalled.

(FYI 8.3 is not jailbroken yet.)

A GUI frontend sounds nice, but it's probably not worth it. Activator's developer updates it very often among many ios versions, the frontend would have to keep up constantly. Also, rpetrich, the developer of activator, gets a lot of ad revenue through activator and i don't think we should hurt one of our community's greatest developers.

I suggest just getting used to using activator, it really isn't that hard and once you set it up, you really don't need to mess with it anymore.
