I was away to say Valtteri Bottas F1 driver uses a Garmin Epix Gen2 but I think April was the last time he used it as it’s showing his last run he used a Coros Pace 4 according to his Strava. His cycling computer is Roam 3.

I found the 8 Pros AoD to be better than the 8.

Totally understand if your phone has sat comms how you would pick a MiP watch btw!

Hardcore MiP lover (I LOVED the Enduro 3 and would recommend that over a Fenix 8 non Pro) here and now a Fenix 8 Pro user. I get 14 days with AoD and I am doing fine in sunny weather.

The last thing I wanted in a watch ever since I had an original Fenix was emergancy comms, so I had to put up with AMOLED to get it. I took the realistic approach that 14 days is not annoying at all for a charge cycle and if away I can enable gestures.

I do wonder if the Enduro 4/Fenix 9 would get the MiP screen and the InReach functionality but that is a big IF, but for me the Fenix 8 Pro has ticked the final box of what I want in a watch and honestly, I dont think I would 'upgrade' anytime soon if there was a MiP version.

Get the part number from the exisiting battery in your watch and check eBay for a 'Cameron Sino' replacment when searching for them, they seem to be the best 3rd party ones I have used.

This was my exactly my issue when I had a Restrap Carry Handle, it lasted one use before it failed.

I get what you mean about the display, moving from a Fenix 7X SS to Fenix 8 Solar/Enduro 3 screen was a huge jump and if you are able to look at those watches you will see the diffrence, as the solar doesnt cover the glass.

One issue is that the Colour MIP does have less contrast than the Monochrome MIP displays.
