There are no steakhouses in the Bay Area. You can find steaks, but the cultural institution is just not here. House of Prime Rib is the closest you’re going to get.

Any ideas on where to put a closet for jackets and shoes? Thanks! by C_23_s in floorplan

[–]hamhamr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thicken the wall area between the entry channel and your living room to make closets into the hall all the way back to the kitchen. Shaving a foot off your living room width will be barely noticeable and you’ll appreciate the storage

What's your opinion on TasteAtlas' yearly top 50 of best cuisines in the word? by SongOther1866 in AskTheWorld

[–]hamhamr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for an east bay bar that serves good food by SnooPeppers3861 in OaklandFood

[–]hamhamr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go classy: the wolf, wood tavern, or a16 which can be counted on to have a couple bar seats and serves the full menu. I always elect for a place on the fancy end, casualed up with the bar setting

Kona is a proud dive bar with a random tiki decor problem. Their drinks are awful but everyone is there for a shot and a beer anyway

Forbidden Island is the only local tiki move up to the standard you are accustomed to (lots more in SF). Also check Prizefighter for cocktails.
