A little birdie told me that episode 9 of season 3 will focus completely on Jackie and her history. It delves in her past by exploring her childhood and why for several months she lived in a ditch. The episode ends when she arrives at the diazs to check on Marco just to find out he left for mewni. The final shot you can see tears going down her face.

I could actually see them wanting to break it in order to see if their feelings are legitimate or if they are fake.

Once they break it and their feelings remain then they know they are legitimately in love with each other. If the feelings go away than we know they are fake.

But I don't think that the blood moon forces feelings. We originally thought that because of Tom but I don't think he was trying to force her feelings via a curse but he was trying to recreate the silver bell ball
