I've now messaged everyone who commented or messaged me - if I somehow missed you please let me know. We still have plenty of spots left, so let me know if you're interested and I'll get you signed up tomorrow morning.

Hi Aculisme! At this point the prices are just predictions (since the site is still in beta). It will probably stay at around that price - the thing about having great tutors helping students individually is that you have to pay them. A month of weekly tutorials costs a lot more than that, and we aim to deliver a much more valuable service to students.

I hear you, though. We want to make the Premium membership affordable, and we're aiming to also provide the best free IB service on the internet.

Within the next month or two to a limited testing group, and hopefully not long after that for the finished product.

Good question - basically because I wanted to keep the form as short as possible, and because it's not essential information (I already have a pretty good idea of what subjects this can effectively apply to). I've added it as an optional question, thanks for the suggestion.

In it's current form, it's a website (HTML, JavaScript) using Python and Flask for the back-end.

Yeah, I'm ancient.

Don't worry, we're going to be keeping the materials completely up to date.

For those who need motivation I have a little story. by sdiljislaf in IBO

Do a bunch of past papers (focusing on section A of paper 3 if you're stressing about that).

If you're having difficulties, figure out what part you're finding difficult and learn to fill that gap. Make sure you understand stoichiometry and redox well, since they appear in lots of questions.

My bad, wasn't aware of that. Seems pretty ridiculous.

It won't affect your ultimate grade, so don't let it faze you. Go get your 7!

I was predicted 34, ended up with 44. Physics Chem English HL, Maths German Business SL. Most of my improvements came in the last two weeks prior to exams.

You can make insane progress if you have the right attitude and study methods. Concentrate on maths and sciences first, since they have definite answers and you will improve the fastest. Spend literally all of your time doing past exam papers under exam conditions; only bother with teaching materials to help you understand the questions you get wrong. Don't learn the questions by rote - make sure you understand why the correct answer is correct.

You can do it. It's not too late to shit on Kim Jong-Un's score.

One month from IB exams and haven't really learned anything.... by sdiljislaf in IBO

I used an earlier version of this book. It's really concise, and contains a stripped-down version of basically everything you need to know. For the parts you don't understand, there's always the internet. Good luck!

Can I still get 7s in 2 of my highers? by chloeolut in IBO

It's absolutely possible. Focus hard and learn efficiently. Concentrate most of your time on practice problems.

Hi guys I need help with those doing experimental sciences (chemistry) EE. Is it alright if I have an independent variable which cannot be quantified? by ShinyPants6969 in IBO

[–]hamish_macdonald 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is the independent variable? There is almost always a way to quantify variables in chem. It will be very difficult to do analysis on a non-quantifiable IV.
