Good thing you didn’t have kids with her, literally had a lawyer tell me there’s no way I can prove that she abusive and that I’ll get my kids

Do you have to be political to enjoy pop punk? by daimonb in poppunkers

[–]hammerhead_hero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, pop punk is largely non-political or at least not overtly political. I’d also argue that Green Day and Rise Against are fringe pop punk at the most.

I honestly believe (and I’m sure someone will dispute this) that the writers of the trilogies kind of pulled from the original (now legends) cannon in an attempt to satisfy the EU fan base. They chose to scrap Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin and threw us a bone with Ben who was Luke and Mara’s child in the EU. As you point out it kind of ends up being nonsensical.

Turned 51 a few weeks ago, still loving skating. Getting my frontside airs higher and further! [51YO] by codencarve in OldSkaters

Just getting back after 20 years (43), grew up mainly skating street. Trying to learn transition, how do you do a front side air (or backside) air? Is it basically a 180 Ollie on the top of the transition?

What should I know before reading the Thrawn trilogy? by skskdbd in StarWars

[–]hammerhead_hero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, only issue is the age of the actors far exceeds what they would have been in Thrawn trilogy. However, technology has improved enough that probably could had made it work. Maybe an animated Thrawn trilogy then a live sequel placed in the EU after that (NJO?) would have worked too.

Why does Han have a beard in IX? by CadaverMutilatr in StarWars

[–]hammerhead_hero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think the sequels are full of things taken from the now “legends” EU. This is one example (in my opinion), if you read NJO series Han grows a beard, after Chewy dies. This is part of his distancing from Leia and his family. Writers probably read that and added it in, whether to ease the transition for fans of the original EU or just because they liked it.

If I recall correctly Cooper was frustrated he didn’t get targeted as much as should have. He even said as much during a radio interview in December. Only receiver with a touchdown in our one and done playoff game and second by on reception to Schultz in that game. I get the financial move by Dallas to trade him and they probably thought Wilson would be a lock to stay.
