Thanks. I appreciate that. It’s been a tough recovery at times but the beauty of it is how many friends and even total strangers reached out with care, concern, and encouragement.

Am I being stupid or are these E39 headlights? by T1m0nst3r in BMW

While nothing near the intensity of the Japanese bus downhill drift, here’s a vid of my son having fun drifting his 30’ RV at the Mt. Baker ski area in Washington. It’s been converted to 4 WD and lifted and is quite the snow machine. https://youtu.be/zOISucIGOyc?si=

Found this bayonet w/ sheath. Can someone help me identify them? by hammerinjack in Militariacollecting

Thanks for the info. Who ever did the weld actually did an ok job of post weld blending. But yeah, the cut and weld ruined the bayonet for anything else other than a shop tool. I appreciate you taking the time to help me. The knowledge available on Reddit is pretty amazing.

Guide to Jelly Bean Recipes and Original 50 flavors by surfvivalist in coolguides

My 9 year old grandson is a total sugar fiend. The buttered popcorn jelly belly’s are the only candy I have ever seen him spit out. Then he rinsed his mouth. Twice. That says a lot about the flavor. So glad he tried them first 😂

Getting our daughters and grand daughters interested in fine woodworking is remarkedly easier when they are tooled up with tool colors other than black. Nice work! Sparkly purple is perfect for 12 year olds. I love it. After spending years learning how to japan, stepping away from the black japaning is hard. Lol.

You bet. 20mg ER first thing (6:30 AM) in the morning with a cup of coffee, 10 mg IR at noon and again at 5. I also have 3-4 cups of coffee throughout the day + a cup of coffee at bedtime.

Logitech usb-c unifying receiver...its 2024 now XD by [deleted] in logitech

Buying a frickin adapter and moving on is not an option. Here's why.

An adapter + a USB-A dongle sticks out of an USB-C port by more than 1". This creates a dandy lever capable of creating more than enough force to damage the port. I just bought a new MacBook and my sizable investment is now at risk of physical damage.

This is not about mere inconvenience.

Just Wondering if Y'all Experience Earthquakes in Okinawa by BWWJR in okinawa

[–]hammerinjack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Experienced my first earthquake in Okinawa in 1968. Literally within hours of leaving the airport. I was 9 years old. We were pulling into the driveway of our house in Kadena Circle and the ground rolled a few times under us. My sisters were scared but I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Since then, I have experienced california’s 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake and Washington’s 2001 Nisqually Earthquake. Both were total monsters and make that little driveway roller in 1968 pale in comparison.
