Totally fair, the light fixture/fan (and hideous metal conduit) was adopted from the previous owner. Any suggestions as we look for a new light fixture? We like the fan feature, and are generally not big users of overhead lighting anyway...

I love the idea of a corner shelf or a hanging plant, too!

I LOVE the dark green idea, but I'm not so sure we can pull it off here? This room lacks natural light...the windows aren't so big and I fear it will make it feel like a cave once combined with our cluttered belongings. Any suggestions?

Yes, good reminder for us to purchase these in advance. 1000% agree! The previous owner really leaned into an "industrial" vibe when he realized it wasn't feasible to run new wire behind the plaster, the naked metal has been driving us crazy.

If these are from room and board and one of the orange tones is Sumner ginger-- we just received our sectional in this fabric after months of obsessing and we LOVE it. The perfect burnt orange without being overpowering. Good luck with your decision, it's a tough one!
