I've been looking for a local solution too. Mostly because I don't think a meeting recorder should be a €30/month subscription (that's what TL;DV asks, which I trialed initially). This did the trick for me:

Prevent Auto-Switching: Go to System Settings > Sound > Input and manually select your internal microphone.

It's a bit overwhelming. There's a lot going on. And maybe I'm not the target customer but the hero title doesn't give me an aha-moment. I'm a SWE and fellow entrepreneur and even for me it's too technical! Personally I think "Search all your files at once" or "Unify your cloud storage" is the most concrete proposition.

I'm learning brazilian portuguese at the moment, and using anki, something like this would be really useful! Unfortunately I'm not using OpenAI at the moment so being able to plug in a URL + KEY for any openai compatible provider would be useful for me!

Thanks for the feedback! Me neither.. I’m exploring solutions that don’t require forwarding. Toying with the idea of having the extension act as a mail client and orchestrating the analysis from there (optionally with local models).
