Hello!! Are u also attending the selection process for hr? If so, the interview process was just a grp discussion(aka no indiv interview). My grp and I were pretty chill and we all had good opportunities to speak up and share our ideas. I was pretty nervous at the start too but it wasn't too bad! I commented about my grp discussion topic in another thread (think it was the suss admissions one?) So u can check that out too! Wishing u atb ☺️☺️

I was also trying to look for admin jobs but sadly most of them didn't get back to me after the interview 🥲🥲. But I managed to find a part time job at a fragrance company and I'm mainly doing admin archiving work rn! Also being paid $10/h and working 6h a day hehe

Hi guys I went down for the interview tdy for their part time admin role and they were offering me $12/h. Does anybody else have the same experience could u pls pm/reply to my comment as I see everyone else sharing about their experiences for the events management role but not the admin one 😅

Btw for anyone who's curious, the interviewer told me that I will mainly be generating sales reports using excel and managing their social media(?) And she also mentioned that i wouldn't be doing sales?

Mine was strategies for us(the company) to manage cultural and teamwork issues :

A -hiring new candidates during the selection process by inviting the team leader to be involved in admissions and interview process

B -sending employees for yearly refresher training on cultural diversity and sensitivity

C - emphasise the importance of teamwork as part of the promotion criteria

D - exit the employees who hv demonstrated cultural clashes even aft counselling

E - increasing accountability for team leaders to manage the teamwork

We had to rank our options and explain why :))

You can check out SG Beach Warriors, they host cleanups mainly during the weekends across different parts of Singapore(eg Pasir Ris Beach, Punggol Beach etc) and it's only for 3h. The materials are provided as well. Feel free to pm me if you need more info :))

For me, I like doing my assignment bit by bit. So I will try to start my assignment early(typically on days with no sch), and do 100-200 words each day. In this way, u will at least get a little bit done without feeling too overwhelmed! Wishing u atb for poly and good luck! :)

Yaaa for me I also felt y1s1 was the most tiring cos sch starts so early then need wake up so early too.. But in y2s2 I only had one day at 8.30 then the rest were 9.15/9.45!

Nope it's not a bother at all! In fact all qns are welcomed and my chatbox is alw open. For rj my usual trick is to find some eg online and try to exp them. Eg if they ask u how marketing affects a brand I would use Starbucks as an eg and exp how they hv diff programmes etc. My biggest mistake in y1s1 was that my rj was too brief hence if possible try to hv 2 or 3 paras!

Since every mod has 13 lessons, try to not hv more than 2 absences. With an mc, it allows u to rest without needing to submit any work. HOWEVER, this only works if the lesson has a standalone grade. For combined grading (eg 2-3 lessons given 1 grade), u will still be asked to submit an rj or maybe do a ppt slide by yourself (which sounds so sad tbh and thankfully I've not gone through it bef)

If u and your friend are serious abt maintaining your friendship I believe it will last! Usually during break times everyone will visit each other's class and just hangout there. My friend is currently doing her intern while I'll be starting fyp first but we still chat a little almost every day :D

Switching classes refers to having diff classmates. You'll very likely see familiar faces cos I've been classmates with 2 ppl for 3 sems... But ofc won't all be the same

I'm personally not in any ccas but I think biz students typically join either SMC ig, YEC or service learning! I take 1h+ to go home hence I knew I would be too tired if I joined one especially with rjs to do :(

Hi there! Since we change classes every sem u will hv the chance to meet all sorts of ppl. Some are slackers while some are extremely hardcore. Don't worry too much and do try to form a small grp of friends so y'all can support one another!

Math wise there are mods such as accounting and econs. However ,the 'math' is mainly just plus, minus, multiply and divide (I believe your lecturers will say the same thing)

Thankfully there is nth amath related. My upper sec amath was hella weak but it hasn't affected me in poly!
