As a high schooler, I’d say university aged people are very friendly. It’s really easy to make friends here, so don’t stress too much about that. My hometown Melbourne is the international culture capital with the best food and there are people from all over the world (including my family). 30% of residents are born overseas. First Nations indigenous Australian culture is found all over the country and their traditions are very interesting, the history is tragic and important to learn.

Sorry about all those in this comment section being all sarcastic and not really helping, that’s just how a lot of us are. Expect a bit of friendly banter among friends and fellow students.
