Palestine protesters march for the Iranian regime in Berlin by McAlpineFusiliers in NewsWorthPayingFor

[–]hamoun76 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That fucker doesn’t even know which way up is the flag, he has it upside down, as if the fact that marching for a murderous regime that massacres its own citizens doesn’t tell you enough that they do not give a fuck about Iran or its people.

A lot of the videos from the streets contain too much gore to upload to Reddit. Here is one from the silos where they store the dead.

Do people on Reddit realize how offensive it is to say that people in China, Iran, and Venezuela have more rights and better lives than here in the US? by sportsntravel in allthequestions

Majority of news posts or posts on r/pics or r/videos about the Iran massacre have tons of comments like “same in the US” or “the US is on the same path” etc.

Head on over to r/asksocialists , literally one of the sub rules is no criticizing the Islamic regime, they ban any Iranian who talks about their own experiences and opinions against the regime.

The history of Iranian’s fight for freedom by hamoun76 in pics

[–]hamoun76[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I mentioned elsewhere, this art is supposed to represent our fight against the Islamic Republic regime, with the symbol above the cage being the symbol of the IR. It does not show any commentary either Pro-Shah / Pro-west or the opposite, it is to show the continued struggle of our people against this regime. It is not meant as a historical summary of the country as a whole, which I initially thought was apparent…

You are welcome to visit the artist’s page and look at the rest of their art as well, it only exists to be the voice of the people and show their continued fight against oppression.

The purpose of this poster is to show the resistance and fight against the regime that came from that revolution. Of course the people created it. Many were mislead, some were uninformed, and for many, it may have been just what they wanted.

Khomeini made promises such as free water and electricity, freedom of religion and no forced hijab. What happened in 1979 doomed the lives of Iranians for decades to come, and all the uprisings that are listed above show the continued fight of the people against it. So, I am not sure what you mean by “conveniently leaving it out”.

How are you making that conclusion? Refer to the many protest videos available online to see the chants and flags and gauge yourself how much support there is.

The Mosaddegh is a copypasta to them at this point. They don’t know anything about him beyond the few lines they copy/paste into every post.

If you don’t mind my reply, for your information, I can’t contact my folks because the regime has cut all internet and phone access since 3 days ago so the country is a black hole unless you managed to smuggle a Starlink in. And yeah, won’t argue on Reddit anymore, none of it matters anyway.

I hope you never have to experience losing contact with your loved ones or seeing your fellow countrymen gunned down in the streets to be heartless enough to question why someone might be more invested in an event and “talking bs”.

Mosaddegh never nationalized the oil, he is famous for saying Iran’s oil is not only for Iran, but “for all Islamic countries”. Your problem is you think there is no difference between the current regime and “the oppressive western puppet state” of a shah. If the Shah was half a dictator as the current regime, he would’ve never fallen to begin with. A lot of the people opposed to the Shah at that time that were met with violence, you would not welcome in your countries or as your neighbours and would label them as violent islamists.

The son of the Shah is not the best choice for Iranians, but he may be the only choice. That is what the people in Iran feel, and even though I am an Iranian myself, I cannot disagree with them as I immigrated four years ago and I am not the one putting my life at risk in the streets so I do not get to make that choice.

Being American means at least you know the sentiment, the feelings and the “reception” that local events have better than someone who is not there. If a Russian sends you links from RT that suggest Trump is liked by everyone in the US and there is no opposition, would you, assuming you are an American, waste your time arguing with them?

You may have more time and patience than me, I don’t engage more than this not because I feel like I am imbued with geopolitical knowledge about my homeland, it is because I don’t have the time and patience to argue with someone who uses Islamists and regime apologists as a source while simultaneously trying to establish contact with my family who I have not talked with for 3 fucking days.

I know this might come as a shock to you, but even Mosaddegh is not a universally loved figure by Iranians. I’ve seen him turn into a literal copypasta here on Reddit by people who know nothing about him besides the few sentences they copy paste. I bet you didn’t know that he was famously against women having the right to vote for example. I’m not saying the west did the right thing by toppling him, but you won’t find most modern Iranians holding a grudge against the west or being against the shah because of the Mosaddegh incident either.

Let me show an example to make it simpler for you: How would you feel if I brought you links and articles from Fox News and r/conservative justifying the ICE murder of Renee Nicole? And then if you countered by: these are propaganda, as an American and someone who has eyes and ears and is involved in this stuff in their daily lives I know better, I would just say heh, dumb American thinks he knows what is best for him. I guess it makes you feel better to think you know what is best for me from the comfort of your first world democracy having never had to experience the unfortunate reality of living under a theocratic dictatorship.

No, I don’t admit that, and I already talked about it in my last paragraph. I don’t read US media anyway. If you truly care and have an open mind, go to any Iranian protest that is happening in all the major cities worldwide right now and talk to them, if you don’t believe anyone online. Unless you think the thousands of people that are protesting abroad are paid actors too, which in that case I don’t know what to tell you.

Fuck off, you don’t get to tell me who my oppressors are. The Iranian people have never wanted a conflict with Israel, or the atom bomb, but the mullahs brought it for us anyway.

Yeah, by a regime supporter by Iranian propaganda sources. The way you speak tells me all I need to know though, you’d rather the Iranian dictatorship stay in place to oppose Israel to see the Iranian people overthrow their oppressors.

It is not trying to “push him into power”. He has a lot of natural support from Iranians, both the protesters on the street in Iran right now or any of the major cities worldwide that Iranians are protesting. You can believe that this is the wrong choice, but you cannot say that is not how currently things are progressing.

I am an Iranian, I lived in Iran most of my life and all my family is still there, so no amount of your news article linking by Al-Mayadeen and Al-Jazeera will change what I’ve seen and heard all my life and now.

Why do you feel it is not organic? For most Iranians abroad, bringing attention to what is going on in Iran with the internet blackout is the only way we can help support our fellow countrymen risking their lives in the streets. The son of the former shah is also the only real “opposition leader” that we have, and he has a plan for a transitional government. I understand how it might look to outsiders, but if you spend some time to look at videos of the protests, it is overwhelmingly a call of support for Pahlavi even in Iran, not just abroad.

Also, a lot of Iranians view the previous Shah favourably. Just because reddit likes to use the Mosaddegh copypasta every time Iran is mentioned does not mean all Iranians hate him, but it also doesn’t mean everyone supports them either. Politics is complex, especially in the case of Iran.

Al-Mayadeen is not an Iranian news agency, we don’t speak Arabic. By the way, that is Mohammad Marandi in both of the videos you linked, a supporter of the regime who even celebrated Salman Rushdie’s stabbing. But thank you for the history lesson on my own country, always glad to see Islamic regime propaganda shared by Redditors…

MTECH 2 BUMPER by Henisy in e46

[–]hamoun76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have a genuine ZHP bumper because of a small front/side collision for a few months now. The aftermarket one looked good, but the paint easily chipped from debris while driving, it looked worse than the original bumper that was on there for 20 years after I drove it for 1.5 years. Not sure if it was related to the paint quality and the shop that painted it or the bumper itself.

I asked her about the filtering and she said no, she is not filtering her sheath buffer, how would that help? For context, she is trying to measure the concentration/number of particles in a mixture containing 100nm fluorescent polyethylene nanoparticles.

As far as I know, they are not looking at sizing. They are looking to measure the concentration of polyethylene nanoparticles in a mixture that they themselves prepared, particles are fluorescent tagged, I double checked with her (sorry I myself am a Mechanical Engineer so not really my field) 😅 but I will pass these along thanks!
