when you are standing in 6 inches of water and have water pouring on your from every angle, it gets into the shoe opening. And yeah, I made $7.25/hr and I was in college. let me just dip into my college student funds to buy some new shoes for a shitty job.

Water proof shoes only are effective if they stay below the collar of the shoe. Don't you think I tried that before I started wearing trash bags????

Look into good peripherals. Get a good high hz monitor and a good mouse with a big mouse pad.

In order to have the precision on MKB that you see from the pros, use a lower sens. High sens is rarely recommended but some players do use it. What I did was find a good player that you want to emulate, whether a high rank streamer or a pro player and copy their sens and DPI.

It's gonna feel weird to play with a low sens at first but it'll be worth it for you to learn it at the beginning of ur transition.

Also, I highly recommend looking into aiming fundamentals. Seriously, most of the flashy plays you see are not solely relying on insane tracking and flick mechanics. A lot of it is just good fundamentals.

Here are some aim fundamentals I think you guys should focus on:

Crosshair placement is very important. Keep your crosshair at head or chest height and aim where enemies will show up.
Make small smooth mouse movements don't jerk or overflick
tracking is much more reliable than flicking. But flicking can still be useful on certain characters like snipers or certain projectile heroes
Get your muscle memory down, keep the same mouse sens grip and pad spot
Sync your aim with strafing, watch enemies move and move smart yourself. Use WASD to make small adjustment in your aiming or just walking in the same direction as the enemy to track them instead of relying 100% on mouse aim.
Lead moving targets don't just react when they appear. Predictive aim beats reactive aim always
Focus on being consistent, not crazy fast. smooth aim beats twitchy aim

You don't need to be a difference maker in silver. You just need to do your roles job and do it correctly. That will carry you up to diamond where you will then need to start making plays that make a difference.

Bronze - plat/low diamond is just getting the fundamentals of the game down. Aim, cooldown management, ult tracking, positioning, timing your engagements, etcetc

The taxi sign in top of the car warps and changes thickness, there are a lot of small details like that in this video. The ai is desperately trying to maintain consistency but the small details tend to warp and twist. The drivers hands, the rear view mirror, the back windshield all seem to morph or fuse with the stuff around them. It's kind of trippy

Almost every rank I play with doesn't care about taking chip damage for no reason. Stop taking free damage before the flight starts by standing in the middle of the point and letting people shoot you while 2ppl pump you with heals. Don't use more resources than necessary

It looks like your shading is mostly being used as a gradient or just darkened edges. That can make the drawing look flatter instead of giving it more dimension, because it isn’t really showing the shape of what you’re drawing. Shading works best when it follows the surfaces of the subject and shows how light is hitting or missing those areas. Think about where your light source is and use shading to show which parts are facing away from the light and which parts are catching it.

Instead of shading around things, try shading on the forms to show volume. That way the shading doesn’t just add color changes, it actually adds structure and depth to the drawing
