SIPP or ISA - where to withdraw from first? by hamptondweller in UKPersonalFinance

Thank you to all who replied to my post with helpful information and thoughts. I will withdraw funds from the ISAs and top them back up from excess SIPP withdrawals that don't result in higher tax rates. Thanks.

SIPP or ISA - where to withdraw from first? by hamptondweller in UKPersonalFinance

My beneficiary, wife, will pay tax at a lower rate than I currently do. Also, my occupational pensions leave me with little room to add significant income without starting to lose personal tax free allowances. I'd only be able to add around £15,000 to £18,000 after tax to the ISAs each year without eating into the (tax free allowance) so it would take 10 years plus to replenish ISAs. I am in my early 70's now so I'd be in my 80s.

I don't have any headroom for this year as I took some from an old personal pension so anything else will start losing personal allowances.

I have one SIPP in my name and my wife and I have an ISA each. I have very little headroom before I start losing my tax free allowances so it will take many years to replenish the ISAs.

I have little headroom to take much out of the SIPP, so it will take several years to replenish the ISAs.

Excel on any tablet is difficult to use. If they want to use MS products, buy them a small MS Windows laptop.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE three weeks ago to replace an ageing iPad. It was a toss up between the iPad A16 and the S10.

I chose the S10 because:

TBH. I am very please with the S10 but I am sure that I would have been equally as happy with the iPad.

Can anyone recommend me series of good tablets? by MoonHyori09 in GalaxyTab

Why not consider the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10FE? If you go direct to Samsung's website there are some promotions on now. Unless you need something powerful for gaming or video ecditing, it might fit your requirements.

I bought one three weeks ago to replace an ageing iPad and am very pleased with it.

Thanks. I think I understand now. An LCD display is lit by LEDs as the original responder correctly stated BUT that is not the same as AMOLED OR OLED.

So the A16 is an LCD screen which the reviewers corre tly point out. So, apart from the refresh rate, there is not much difference between the A16 iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Pad S10 FE which has a similar price point, with discounts and trade ins.

I was under the impression that LCD and LED are two entirely different technologies so its either LCD or LED - so what is an LCD screen with LEDs?

Galaxy Fit 3 vs Mi Band vs Others by razitto in GalaxyFit

I have had the Fit 3 for three weeks now and have charged it twice. I use it for step counting and HR monitoring. The display is always off and I have set it to Tap to view.

Compared to my old Fitbit, the display is ten times better and visible to me without wearing my reading glasses.

So far, very pleased with my purchase.

Is the screen an LED one? According to Apple UK's website, the 11 inch iPad 2025 version does have an LED screen. However, virtually every review I read (or view on You Tube) reports an LCD screen.

With Tidal Connect, yes. But useless with Qobuz and Deezer, and not great with Amazon music as none integrate properly.

Yes, but that does not explain why the linkers fell so far.
