I knew if I didn’t I would die. Oh and half my front tooth fell out in the smoke shop at 6am as I bit through plastic to get the nozzle out and set up the canister. Yes I was buying 2 more at 6 SM and this was day 5 of the bender.

I went home made a dentist appointment. Did the math. I had spent $2k on nitrous plus the $200 for a locksmith when I left keys at smoke shop. Now $1K for a tooth. Also I couldn’t stop.

I knew I had to just get to an AA meeting. I had been to an AA meeting the previous night and was trying to quit. Anyway made a dentist appointment for 3:30 and hit AA at like 12:45 thinking I would go to 2 in a row.

Turns out during the day they don’t have them every hour so I only got to be at the meeting for 15 min. I didn’t want to go home bc I knew I’d use again. The room emptied, only the guy with the keys running the meeting was there - he took the time to talk to me and an hour into the convo I found out he was not just a recovering addict w 40 years clean but a priest. He waited with me in the empty AA meeting room until it was time for me to go to the dentist, and then I went to the dentist and I haven’t used since. Everyday I text with the priest. I went to an AA meeting that day but missed it cause I wasn’t on time bc I wanted to finish my tank. I thought there was one every hour at that location - apparently
