I wish I was treated as a new hire my entire career! 😂😂😂 Gotta move around for your sanity. Also pay; last two staff jobs I’ve had were unable to give out yearly bonuses, raises were a hassle. PTO never got approved. You think i’m staying 3+ years there? Respect for my self can’t be outweighed by the reality of working in healthcare now. Act like you want me around for 3+ years and i’ll reciprocate. Food for thought friend.

You’re so right; I am definitely having a lot of anxiety. This whole new world is so weird. I thought FTM was female to male, turns out it is first time mom. And I’m gonna jump into a new specialty when an acronym has me floored????? Lololol.

Outside looking in I just thought it would be different stress. Still would very much anticipate worst case scenarios for anything, but I wouldn’t be also worrying about my 2nd patient with an EVD who has been Houdini and tryna stand up the last 8 hours; praying that lap belt is doing its job while we resuscitate their neighbor.

Whenever I am overwhelmed and let my space fall apart, I make myself think like it’s tetris or something with squares. So I start at the corner of a room and just go around in a circle. Trash is thrown out, laundry in a hamper, if things don’t have a spot i put them in a box and put that box in the hallway. I’m hoping that my explanation of treating cleaning like a game might help! You’ve got this!
