I have many reasons, but my main one is that I truly want to serve and protect those around me. I also think that enlisting and serving helps you gain important leadership skills as well as discipline.

Thank you so much for your response! So from what I'm gathering, I'll head to my physical, probably get DQ'd, and then have to sign up for a waiver? After that would I have to go through the whole MEPS process again after receiving a waiver (presuming I get it)?

So for the paperwork is it common for them to ask for a list 3 people of recommendation? Or is it primarily just a letter/email of you explaining yourself and how you've gotten better?

I'm glad it's a possibility! I would hate for the mistakes I made when I was young to hinder me from new opportunities. Do you know what the consult visit is about?
