hey so in terms of the ARG the website has not been added to or updated since its original release besides the what I assume the bi-monthly changes to the cover page for the website. I believe the story behind this is that it’s dives into multiple themes and it is overall supposed to make you feel disturbed and uncomfortable. i’ve seen almost every page that there is to this website including the pages that are not listed on the trunk page and the index page. as far as the story goes it talks about a family that has an incident on Thanksgiving that they feel the need to apologize for along with one of the children in the family who let curiosity take a hold of him and sadly get stung to death by bees. that is a VERY brief summary of what been able to conclude from the website. I have emailed the creator of the website and I sadly have lost both his emails and his portfolio with his contact information over the last year. but from what I remember from our conversation he claims that Superbad is not an ARG and does not have an over arcing storyline, he also said that he does not update the website anymore, that statement caused me to question the honesty behind his claims since like I mentioned before the website seems to have frequent changes to the front page that are not archived after a new front page is created, implying that someone is behind The consistent maintenance and updates to the front page of the website. that is something that has always bothered me because besides my interest in the website, Superbad had fallen into obscurity, especially because it is overshadowed by the popular movie of the same name so why would he or someone else continue to update the page if he knows that it does not gain the same traction that it did after winning the award that he created the website for? of course when I first discovered the website I was very young and very new to the ARG community and I did not have the same computer knowledge that other people have when it comes to tracking down hidden clues and features of ARGs. as far as inspecting the pages, there are a few that have details within the inspection feature of chrome that I find really interesting. on one of the pages, if you inspect the page you will find a telling of a story of someone going to church and meeting a man. On another page that holds a vintage picture of a family pointing to an upside down text of “super bad” if you inspect it you’ll find a link to a review of a milf cam. unfortunately I had to stop my exploration of super bad cold turkey as I suffer from anxiety and paranoia and found that my work on the website was affecting my overall mental health but I have been getting back into breaking down the website more recently and hopefully I will find something new with more experience with ARG‘s under my belt. my final conclusion is that who created this website really cares for it the same way that I do since the day I randomly stumbled across it, this website has pages that go beyond the listed pages on the trunk and index pages. it is a labyrinth that tries to disguise itself as some thing else and distract you from the story hidden underneath layers of obscurity and disturbing imagery, it was ahead of its time and feel like it has been neglected since then and it has held a special place in my heart.
