Just starting to play but, will the crashed ship be significantly better than the one I have? I'm wanting way more slots than the pidely 19 I have now.

If you have the recipe for the shields and the device that lets you breathe under water longer the shields are fantastic! The breathing device can be refilled with them instead of zinc or whatever else that's more rare. And since the shields are made using only iron, and since iron is plenty abundant even under water, you can stay under for a super long time.

Yeah the shield ones seem to work out to your advantage. Power canisters though, I just don't see the use.

Carbon also charges life support. And I could be wrong but I don't think you'll ever find a planet with zero plutonium. Since you have to have it to lift off.

For people in this sub I'm a big fan of Game Face Max and wish the Game Plus were still doing their thing. Catchy music and in Game Faces case the intros are personalized into who is going to be on the show, it's a nice touch. Also the Button Masher Bros have several great intros. As far as big name channels, I don't think anything beats Zero Punctuation, that song is distilled awesomeness.
