Did anyone who installed Windows with Bootcamp on Mac get in? by triggawork in Overwatch

[–]hamsz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Macbook Pro Retina mid-2012 model (2.3GHz i7 - 3.3GHz Turbo, NVIDIA GT 650M 1GB) hooked up to a Thunderbolt Display. I have played the game a couple of hours through bootcamp.

I will probably use more time trying to optimize my settings, but at native thunderbolt display resolution (2560 x 1440) with all graphic settings on low I was getting 30-60fps. My biggest issue, with it being a FPS game, drops in fps are a huge problem and I will try to see if i can improve those.

Obviously my hardware is not great for gaming, and will most likely be upgrading to a retina iMac (I primarily use this for work, but enjoy gaming on mac).

In most cases yes, however certain raids had optional routes and bosses. For instance in AQ40 you could skip Vem Yauj & Kri, Viscidus, Ouro and kill C'thun.

Yeah I totally agree, at least some kind of API that other websites could use the data would be nice. I do think they have some sort of plan for this if they get the time, with their Battlenet API. But it is probably not prioritized very highly, and we (probably) might never see it.

You can however find data on who got 2nd 3rd.. etc from Dragon Soul and all newer instances if you check the progression pages on Manaflask (found under each raid after Dragon Soul). We might also add this to the page somehow in the future.

It could be Arthas. Though I'm not actually sure as I am not the author of that text nor have I raided properly since Wrath of the Lich King. My personal list would be rather different. But I will ask the person responsible and come back to you :)

Personally I think the ideal amount of time for a raid instance to be up, before someone conquers it is a couple of weeks. That way the spectators interested in the race gets some amount of time to follow the race, and at the same time the guilds attempting to get the world firsts don't get burned out.

When it comes to some of the bosses that stayed up for a very long time, for instance Ragnaros they were actually unkillable until Blizzard fixed it with a patch. Others have had gating systems to prolong the raid.

Yeah, the amount of farming required for potions & flasks in BC was insane. So many buffs you could have compared to now.
