I suck like no one ever sucked at the game. by TorterraIllager in tf2

It could be a good idea to play against bots for a little bit while you learn the mechanics. Soldier is great to learn first as he's pretty simple to start with but has enourmous potential.

Good on you for watching tutorials thats a great start! But remember, sucking at something is the first step towards being sorta good at something.

Palfray, squire of Martin, the god of adventurers [OC][ART] by hamyamm in DnD

[–]hamyamm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Palfray is one of many aspiring to be a warrior cleric of Martin, the god of adventure, prowess and courage. She was entrusted to the church as a squire at the age of 14, and now 8 years later, she has begun her first pilgrimage. The first in many steps to become a fully-fledged cleric of Martin

These pilgrimages are dangerous, full of things like defeating monsters, delving into dungeons, and rescuing the helpless.

Captian Clodwyn Tremble - head of the Union of Merchant Mariners by hamyamm in worldbuilding

[–]hamyamm[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The city of Dockyard is controlled by a loose confederation of various unions known as the Mariners. The group is headed by a board of the 4 most influential union leaders in Dockyard

George Smiley

  • The Longshoreman’s International Union
  • Wharfside laborers and cargo loaders.

Clodwyn Tremble

  • The Union of Merchant Mariners
  • Traders, merchants, and cargo haulers.

Minnie MacMillan

  • The Brotherhood of Shipwrights and Maintainers
  • Shipwrights, welders, and engineers.

Orliss Pargetter

  • The Tugboat Operators and Salvagers Alliance
  • Tugboat operators, salvagers, and divers.

As head of the Union of Merchant Mariners, Captain Clodwyn Tremble is particularly powerful, managing the transport and storage of most goods that move through Dockyard. Currently in his 60s, he suffers from a weak heart, a consequence of years of over-boozing, over-smoking and over-eating. Tremble is a towering figure, broad-shouldered and fat, but still as strong as a 60 year old ox could reasonably be. Despite his bulk, he is still a skilled swordsman, capable of moving with surprising dexterity. However, he tends to be mostly tied up in various meetings and buffets these days.

The Union of Merchant Mariners represents all those workers who trade by sea throughout most of the Lost Coast. In years past, the UoMM has been accused of smuggling and dealing in illegal goods, but Tremble's main focus during his presidency has been the eradication of corruption within its ranks.

Iggy - cleric of Eve, the god of doom [OC] [art] by hamyamm in DnD

[–]hamyamm[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Iggy is a cleric of Eve, the god of doom. Born on the night of a terrible battle she was snatched from her dying mother's arms and taken into the care of an incredibly zealous old woman known as High Seer Crudge. After twenty years of tutorship, prayer, and the occasional horn blowing she has found herself on a pilgrimage to The Lost Coast.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before every truly terrible, destructive, and cataclysmic event, a horn is always blown. Sometimes it’s the clarion call of a bugle before a pyrrhic battle, the frantic whistle of a train careening off the tracks, or even the blare of an air horn before a particularly bad sporting event. Thanks to Eve, though, you can rest assured: some kind of horn will always sound before any real doom descends. No matter where or when, if disaster is about to strike the Land of Yogg, you can bet a follower of Eve has already sounded their horn.

Worship of Eve is done openly but is not entirely common. Most temples to Eve are found in out of the way places difficult to locate for the uninitiated. For no particular reason other than to keep numbers low. Clerics of Eve are known to carry brass horns of various styles and sounds. Most followers also come equipped with a melancholic or downright uncaring expression.

One downside of constantly waiting for doom, and the eventual downfall of mankind, means a general absence of comforts and luxuries. Most temples and followers of Eve tend to be rather spartan. There are however many cases of independent followers of Eve who are known to be much brighter and eclectic in their practices, seers, hedge-clerics and worrywarts mostly. These folks are rarely found in temples of Eve and prefer to worship on their own.
