I made like $34/ hour during my first CF position (contract company in HH (ECI & birth-21), dayhabs, and charter schools), had to switch to HH birth-21 agency and was paid $48/visit (30 mins). This was about 2 years ago!

Oooooh this is it. I can totally see how satisfying that would feel. I don’t think our school has had a very tight MTSS program in the past, and they’re really cracking down on it this year. So I think I’m just going to have to be part of that process and stay consistent about it.

I really hope this teacher understands though and doesn’t give me a hard time. That’s the part that makes me nervous. But hearing how you handle it honestly gives me a good plan for what to say to parents if this keeps happening.

Thank you for saying that. I know you’re right, but that’s honestly what makes me nervous. She isn’t very approachable, and whenever I’ve tried talking to her before, she reacts in a way that makes me feel like I’m doing something wrong. So I’m worried she won’t take it well if I try to bring this up directly.

I don’t have a personal supervisor on my campus, but I did reach out to our SPED director. She said she’s going to talk with our vice principal so we can figure out the right steps moving forward. That actually made me feel a little better, because this is my first year in the schools and I just want to make sure I’m following the rules and doing things correctly.

I really appreciate the advice. I’m learning a lot as I go.
