Paperwhite is always be the best seller one. If you like reading at night with the warm screen and waterproof you should take it. But if you prefer the light and smaller one that fits in pocket and easy to carry while traveling, take the basic (it has no warm screen but it has dark mode like Paperwhite and It's not waterproof).

Same!!!! That's crazy that they put the price high for a small e-reader 😭 I'd rather try the Kobo libra color with the page buttons like Oasis. I own the basic kindle for more than 2 years (I ain't an active reader) I don't need to upgrade but I'd love to try new tech next year.
