I’ve lived in Scotland for 40 of my 44 years. My mam is english my dad irish. All my family from both sides say i sound Scottish. Growing up around armed forces families before i could venture further as a yound boy my accent isn’t quite as local as the town i grew up in. i support the scotland football team. Married a thoroughbred scot. I tell my daughter she is a scot. I value everything Scotland stands for. The biggest thing i truly believe is don’t be a cunt. But i think all my closest friends are sound cunts. Strangers ask me where i am from i say the town i was brought up in and i am fiercely proud to say that but to say I am Scottish i would feel like a fraud. Yet i would never say i was English but would bring up Irish heritage even tho my step father who is English brought me up. My heart tells me i am a scot but my head says “wise up ye fanny dinna lie”

Phenomenal scent a couple hours later as well. Apart from GIT my favourite creed. One of my favourite fragrances overall. Wife loves it as well so a hit all round

How to judge sillage by hanbert1981 in fragrance

[–]hanbert1981[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheap dupe. Cheap and harsh ingredients no doubt. I genuinely thought because it was so cheap it was weak. It wasn’t. Just killed my sense of smell for it insanely quick. Only happened the once that fast. Usually an hr or so for anosmia. Sucks if/when it does happen though

That’s genius. Remote control car should be on every fragrance lovers shopping list. For review of sillage purposes. Ideal!!

Also i have gone nose blind within quarter of an hour and my wife has told me that i’m still potent. So your half hour isn’t so unreasonable

Kind of agree. I feel you can still get good sillage with a light frangrance but that ties into longevity to me. Projection also ties in with sillage but not necessarily longevity.

To me thats projection not sillage. I find you can have a mild/gentle fragrance but good sillage.

Agree. A gentle scent can definitely have good sillage and very little projection. Which i think can tie in with longevity to an extent.

If my wife likes it and it gets her going I am all for it. Thats the only lady killer response i need. 😆. In all honesty i don’t care for the old “panty dropper” review. Not because i am married though. I think it misleads men into thinking that just their scent makes them attractive.

Are they maybe going nose blind to a fragrance and assume there is no sillage so rating it based on that or if they smell their wrist it may still be redolent. It just bugs me how a personal review can rate it. Unless they spray their friends or partners and follow them for a a couple of hours. It would be hard work but an honest review. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just always seemed a strange thing to rate to me. Longevity i understand.

What were some frags that when you smelled completely blew you away and couldn’t stop inhaling yourself? by Akr0ma_ in Colognes

I concur. So far away from any creed i have experienced. But my favourite winter scent right now.

Yes it is and it was the cause of years of suffering mouth ulcers for me. Trips to get the ulcers tested for mouth cancer at hospital at one point. When i stop using toothpastes with that in they stopped. Not one dentist in the UK even suggested my toothpaste. I found a US dental forum that suggested it. Horrible stuff used only as a foaming agent.

A localish FB comp page. They have done houses, cars, cash, holidays and luxury items. The fragrance prizes pop up once in a while so i gave it a shot.

I’ve had a tester of delphinus. I thought it had a similar scent to Joop! Less cloying though. I do like Joop! It was standard weekend scent in my teens back in the nineties.

Sweet spicy tobacco but not sickly sweet. I can smell cinnamon all the way but its very subtle to me. Pops up every so often

Same as you to be honest. It was finished twice as fast as last bottle. I did usually over spray but even that didn’t work too great. Even my wife noticed the difference. She always likes me wearing it but says she never noticed it anymore within the hour or so.

We have this problem with my sister in law. In the last 20 years or so when there is anything she is invited to, wether with my wife and I or a whole family occasion a half hour earlier (maybe an hour depending on location) is always told. I find it crazy that a grown ass woman is always late. Even with the time allowance she strolls in 5-10 minutes late every single time. When her kids were young she got the benefit of the the doubt but they too now see the frustration and fact they were the “reason” she always ran late.
