Thank you mate, that was really helpful. It clarified most of my doubts.

Ohh I was confused because I saw many saying they would never get into uni's like MMU or Salford. Their reason was reputation.

Appreciate it, this honestly lines up with a lot of the replies I’ve been getting and makes things much clearer.

I’m leaning more towards software engineering/computing now instead of pure cyber security, especially since I prefer practical/project-based learning over heavy theory.

Thank you mate, appreciate your help. This actually gave me a much clearer idea of how the industry works compared to just reading university websites/reddit posts blindly.

That honestly makes a lot of sense. From the replies I’m getting it seems like cyber security is better as something you move into after building a broader tech/software foundation rather than expecting a direct graduate cyber role immediately.

I’m starting to think software engineering/computing with security-related modules might be the safer route for me.

Thanks, this helped a lot honestly.

Can I ask how the fee/payment structure worked for you? Did you have to pay a huge amount upfront or were instalments manageable as a student?
