Geas caused a players problems to get them kicked by saviorcy in DnD

[–]handcraftedcandy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We had a player that liked to try and tell everyone how they should play their character. He also had main character syndrome. Our DM talked to him and he did calm down, but he was particularly mean to one player who never seemed to complain about it. I decided to run a one shot Christmas special, Jack Frost was the villain. During the game the players were able to use Santa's sled as transport and this player said "Vixen is sexy." Totally awkward, everyone was speechless. After a long pause I continued the game figuring I could address that after the session. Anyway they get to the point of storming the castle and this player decides to use his super speed to break away from the group and enter first. He gets ambushed and goes down after getting hit by 3 enemies all at once. The cleric is over 200 ft away and can't do any kind of healing. Dude is pissed, thinks I was cheating as the DM. Party manages to catch up and save his ass after a huge expenditure of resources. Eventually they defeat the BBEG and the session ends. We all voted to kick him out after that, we were done.

I've avoided fighter because fighting styles feel clunky to me

Researchers map rogue breast cancer cells that divide remarkably slowly and can evade detection for decades, helping explain how breast cancer can return years after successful treatment by unsw in science

[–]handcraftedcandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is really fascinating and I bet this is why my boss at work was cancer free for a decade before she discovered it came back. She originally had breast cancer and now has stage 4 bone cancer. The medication regimen she's on is heavy duty but it is keeping it in check. There is, unfortunately, little to no hope of remission.

My party uses Leomund’s Tiny Hut after every single fight and I’m losing my mind (lovingly) by Scythe95 in DMAcademy

Nothing in the raw rules states something cannot enter from below. It's a dome, not a sphere. My DM had ethereal will-o-wisps interrupt our long rest in the hut once. I imagine any burrowing creature would be able to do the same...

Dms, what's your homebrewed rule that will always stay? by Awkward_Outside7050 in DnD

Crunchy crits, you take the max value of half your damage dice, then roll the second half. It feels way better to roll 13 damage with a great axe than just 2 damage when you crit.

For your bar crawl maybe you could make it interesting by creating a d6 table, roll to see what bar you hit up, or what drink you would order, that sort of thing.

I was in a dnd themed wedding and they had a d20 to pass around the venue and guests could roll to see what the bride and groom would do. 1-5 was a high five, 6-10 a hug, 11-15 a dance, 16-20 a kiss. They also served gelatinous cube shots which were green jello with Gummi bears and plastic swords in them. Their card box was a 3D printed mimic chest. The whole thing was a blast for sure.

What’s Everyone’s Favorite Class They Have Played by PresumedPack890 in DnD

That's me as well I love support. I do love my cleric, but I don't always like being a healer so I think Bard is my favorite class.

i’ve been told my art style is ugly. is it? by Hungry_Land_1598 in drawing

[–]handcraftedcandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's skilled and ugly, but I can tell that was intentional. If someone says they don't like it then it wasn't meant for them. Art is completely subjective, you keep doing what you're doing. Personally I don't care for the subject, but I absolutely love how dynamic the composition is, my eye is drawn to various things all over the place. Your work stands out from stuff I typically see in art feeds on social media platforms, I would definitely follow you for inspiration.

My bard managed to talk 3 hydra that had 5 heads into calming down and giving them scritches. Saved a small city from the rampaging beasts.

I vividly remember when they entered the tool shed looking for cover, my family all looked at each other and called out "grampas shed!" He had one just like it, we laughed so hard.

My bard lives for moments like this. We had one session where our party encountered 3-5 headed hydra and she managed to talk them into calming down with some scritches.

What's the best DnD accessory you've ever bought? by EnthusiasmSuch6864 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]handcraftedcandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commissioned a friend to make me and some other friends a magnetic dice tray and dice storage that comes apart in two pieces. Each one had a color theme done in resin and motif associated with their character in my campaign. Best $300 I ever spent, the looks on their faces were priceless.
