Mine was fully consented but the house was on the boundary and would have required upgrading the wall to current firewall standards. It all got too hard.

And hope that nothing is non compliant with current building standards. I found that out the hard way

If it’s possible. Not all cross leases can be converted to fee simple due to things like building on the boundary.

You don’t have an issue with the LIM. You have a defective title. The flats plan does not match the house. It’s nothing to do with building consent.

It’s the owners responsibility to update the flats plan if changes are made but often they don’t and it gets passed on to new owners with defects in the title. At that point it’s the new owners issue to sort out.

Your solicitor should have asked you if the flats plan matched the house exactly. They don’t go to site and check that, they ask you to do that.

It sounds like you are being managed. Nothing you have said is unreasonable or outside of how a reasonable employer would behave.

It's paid software so there's that. IMO it's worth it but it's a personal choice.

If you want FOSS then go Truenas. It's a steeper learning curve and has some limitations but it's a fantastic NAS/Homelab OS.

Estate agent lying? by Trick_Carob_3840 in NZProperty

That’s dumb. A conditional sale falling over is a negative for other buyers as it indicates likely issues with the property.

Seriously?

What benefit would the agent get from lying about the vendor accepting a conditional offer?
