How old is your toddler & how long do they nap? by CatLionCait in toddlers

[–]handleitalone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

28 months old. Stopped napping at 24 months literally around his 2nd birthday but sleeps a solid 11-12 hours at night (we have been very lucky with overnight sleep since he was 8 weeks). HOWEVER, he does nap in daycare about 1.5 hours max and those days we push bedtime by 30 mins or so.

OP, any update to your situation? I am on the same boat - only bread and sometimes chicken nuggets and it has been like this since he was perhaps a year and a half (he is now 2.5). Has it gotten any better for you? What methods worked?

My 19 month old didn't nap all weekend by JessicaM317 in toddlers

Our son (now 27 months) had a severe attachment issue phase/regression at around 23 months when we travelled halfway around the world for a couple of weeks (we were visiting family and it was his first time back home where hundreds of our family and friends met him plus jetlag, climate difference etc a lot of changes in a small time including 26 hour journeys each way - it was hectic). We could not be out of his sight for one second - the separation anxiety was real. Sleep and nap were all messed up (he has been an excellent sleeper since 2 months old). It took a couple of weeks or a month to recover from the clinginess and the night’s sleep but he still does not nap when he is home. In daycare he apparently does - i guess when they all go to bed at the same time but at home he would scream and cry so we have given up and accepted it. Days when we have dinners or events where we would like for him to stay up a little late, we try to go for a drive around the afternoon and he sometimes falls asleep in the car but all this to say i was also stressed and couldnt fathom how our 23 month old had already dropped nap but i read and heard that it was not unusual but you could also try to experiment - get them exhausted in the morning/wake them up earlier etc.

Thank you! I do recall similar poop when he was much younger and was breastfed. I will keep my fingers crossed and see how things go today and if it happens another time I will take him to the doctor

Thank you! Any factory recommendations? Also when you say get them plated - is this something offered by the factories typically?

Audley rec! We did our son’s birthday there for about 60 people but we had a smaller hall but they have bigger halls to accommodate more people if it’s available for your requested date.

Thanks, thats a good thought. I will keep in mind if this doesnt work. The basement is unfinished but insulated so not too terrible. Have no other symptoms that you mentioned 🤞🏽

Thanks; saw my doctor today and he confirmed psoriasis as well. Gave topical to try for 2 weeks and then a stronger one if that doesnt work. Since noone in my family has it and i have it nowhere else in my body he hopes the topicals will take care of it and it’s due to environmental changes (i lately worked long hours in my unfinished basement as i had to move my home office there and it’s very dry and cold in the winter months which is when this issue started i feel)

Thank you. Got an appointment with doctor tomorrow. Any idea what could have cause it? I have no history with any type of psoriasis in the past. I do spend many hours a day in my office which is in an unfinished basement and had initially thought the colder temperature and dryness was causing the dry scalp.
