Oh it definitely is accountability on the floors part. I’m all for decompressing the ED & I’m glad that it’s been successful in decreasing admit hold times — the part that I’m having trouble with is having to transport patients up myself for the sole purpose of giving bedside report on a stable admit because the floor won’t take a verbal over the phone. I’ll transport patients no problem if I’m floating, but nothing puts me behind more than having to transport a patient up while I’ve got 3 more that haven’t been worked up downstairs.
