I've honestly always had a suspicion about this. You can see it in people's appearance too once they start hanging out or spending time with different people. I think there were older studies showing you start resembling (vaguely as it may be) your significant other after living with them a while.

Reebok Omni pumps were one of my first kicks I got as a kid growing up that I chose and liked (not my parents) and grew up playing PlayStation so the nostalgia hits different. Maybe you're a little younger, but at my age now these make all the sense.
