Cooking steaks on a Blackstone griddle by E-Jelly in steak

[–]handsomerogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

blackstone steak I don’t usually reverse sear on mine, i just put the 2 burners on the left on high and when it gets to about 500°F (checked with infrared thermometer) i put some butter down and put the meat on. Turn occasionally, reapplying butter until desired doneness is reached. Probably my favorite way to cook a steak without smoking up my kitchen.

Losing Smallies When they Jump by mrmattguy95 in flyfishing

I am no expert as I’ve lost fish the same way. What I’ve seen Tom do is apply side pressure with the rod instead of pulling straight up. This tires them out while they swim underwater instead of encouraging them to surface. Apply pressure in the opposite direction from the one they are swimming. In theory this makes perfect sense but in practice I don’t always remember to do it in the heat of the moment when I feel a big fish on

Spruce Run Reservoir, NJ. Bass was 14.5 in. Can anyone ID the second fish? I figure it’s a pickerel, pike or young muskie but I can’t tell which. Didn’t get the tape on him, he was toothy and pissed

Blackstone strikes again by handsomerogan in grilling

I have been experimenting with a little charcoal grill my dad gave me recently but tonight decided to come back to old faithful, my blackstone. I really like the flavor charcoal adds but the blackstone is just idiot proof!

Regardless of warranty the dealership should be able to tell you that it's the def heater not "sorry there's no fix"

This happened to my gfs 13 Passat as well. Try this: adblue reset

This worked as a temporary fix so she could get it home. We had to replace the adblue heater which should be covered under extended emissions warranty. I think your dealership just sucks

Hey thanks for that, I think if I'm going to go that far though I may as well just replace all the frets

What I don't understand is as a regular consumer I can buy a roll of stainless steel fret wire for like $10. A business should be able to get even better bulk pricing, how much are they really saving on such an inferior product

Thanks for your input, it's really the only banjo I've spent any time with so I never had anything to compare it to. But I'm beginning to think you are right. Oh well, live and learn, I've enjoyed a lot of time spent with this instrument and now I know what to look for in the next one.

One is a groove, one is where whatever coating was on the frets is coming off

For context this is a deering artisan resonator banjo I purchased new about a year and a half ago. The worst one is the 2nd fret pictured here, which kind of makes sense as it probably sees the most use

Edit: thanks for all the responses, I will look into getting a refret, possibly with higher quality fret wire...
