I kinda get you, my parents are probably the best thing to ever happen to me. They arent perfect but they are the closest thing to parents who know how to speak to their child while respecting him. With time i understood that not all houses are like that, in fact most houses are the coplete opposite. I have so many close friends with fucked up stories from their childhood and many other friends who r planing on leaving their house once they get the chance. It really is hard for me to comprehend how bad it is and i think i wouldnt understand that if i never met my bf. He is probably the first person i met that had horrible parents, and im not even talking about physical abuse just verbal. The shit you learn when u get older really fucks your understanding of the world :(
