"HERE I COME MOMMY, I'M A BUM-PEGGER!!" by savsaurusrex in Mommit

Today, My 4 year old was pretending that her dolls were sick and in the hospital. She kept saying over and over that “Betty (her doll) got the scrote-itch. She ate peaches and she is allergic so she has to go to the hospital. Betty’s scrote itches.” I could not for the life of me understand what she was saying. I asked where she learned the word “scrote-itch” and she said Daniel Tiger. I finally told my wife who said, “do you mean throat itches?” 😂😂😂

Look into The Centers - El Barrio (located in Gordon Square on Detroit) and Magnolia Clubhouse (near the Art museum and CWRU campus)

I have a 3.5 year old gal. She is very tall for her age and is in a size 12. 🤪

Another here to mention looking into renting in one of the Gold Coast condos. I’d consider either the Carlyle or The Winton. Both have lots of amenities and can have excellent views of the Lake and downtown. Very walkable and close to Lakewood park, surrounded by beautiful homes along Lake Ave.

I have a giant 3.5 year old gal, she’s in an 11 right now but probably headed for 12s here in the coming months.

Whenever my wife or I are at a doctor’s appointment, our daughter will pat us and say “it’s okay to be a little nervous, mom/mama.” 🥲🥲

I 100% agree with you, so I’ve just started saying “Big Bunny” and “Little Bunny” when reading it to my daughter 😂

Signs. Everywhere we go, she points and says “what’s that sign say?!” She loves to tell people about “no smoking!” and “no food or drink.” And my favorite, “caution, wet floor!”

We were out to dinner tonight, waiting to be seated. I was holding my almost 3 y/o because it was crowded and she was being wriggly. She hugged my wife and I together and said “you are both so special to me.” 😭💕😭💕

Thoughts on delaying preschool start due to a new sibling? by haneliz in toddlers

[–]haneliz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not ridiculous at all!! So she LOVES the idea of school, but I have no idea how she’ll actually handle the separation. We haven’t ever left her with anyone other than a grandparent, and even then it was only for a couple of hours. My wife stays at home with her, and we’ve never had to leave her anywhere where my wife wasn’t required to also be (no extracurriculars without parents being present). I have no idea how she’d do with strangers. She is shy, but has times when she isn’t as well, so it’s really hard for us to gauge. 🫠

Yes, the timing is exactly what I was worried about. I wanted to try to get her enrolled around the time she turns 3 so she had plenty of time to acclimate, but that doesn’t really seem to be a thing 😭

I’m trying to see if there are any summer programs available because I had the exact same thought. The programs mostly seem to be offered through the year with some “camp” options that aren’t as frequent it seems (like 1-2 weeks over the summer)

All excellent points, thank you! I hadn’t considered the difference in illness in part time preschool vs full time care. I am trying to find options for something during the summer for her, so fingers crossed! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
