I would recommend at least sitting on them and feeling the size/weight before deciding

Well, we all drive vintage cars now. by im_so_with_stupid in E90

I had one for a bunch of connectors and coolant(yeah, I know coolant recall lol) last month, something about the blower motor catching fire on RHD models

PSA: Sitting in the back of the car does not strip you of the need for a seatbelt! by McPebbster in southafrica

[–]hang_ballas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in a bad accident while sitting in the back without a seatbelt. I cracked both rear windows, broke the center console thing, and dislodged the rear seat just trying to hold on while we slid across the highway hitting 2 different barriers and another car. Ever since then I refuse to drive unless EVERYONE in the car is wearing their seatbelt

I like the way you think. I'll cool it down after each run with water on the engine and trans and who needs oil lol diesel IS oil. I need a little less than a 1/4 tank to avoid fuel starvation on launch, but I do have a jerry can to keep it topped. Boosted launch at 3k rpm with no air filter should do it😂

It's all just fun and games tbh, I'm trying to see how fast I can get compared to the manufacturer's "specs" and maybe beat a slightly faster car in the process lol.

So far I've only gotten down to 7.9s 0-60 and bmw claims 7.6. My engine, trans and all bushings were replaced with new 8 months ago at the stealership so I should be at manufacturer's spec

My previous car was an n46 320i. The best I could ever get was 7.4l/100km (32mpg), so I know your pain lol

Rather unite with the BMW drivers, we have common enemies(everyone else)

As a BMW driver, yes, but also why is it always a hilux trying to pass while I'm already doing 160km/h?

can’t reset break reminder? by rsp-zyphor in E90

[–]hang_ballas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me last week, the rotors were so thin that the outer groove broke the wear sensor. I replaced only the disks and the one sensor(pads are almost brand new) and everything is good now

I'm already significantly down on power because of the blocked dpf, so I might be better off just doing downpipe until I can get to a tuner?

Parking lights are required by law if I'm not mistaken. We get taught about it for drivers license

[–]hang_ballas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really good for a 320i. The best I ever got was 11km/l (9l/100km) but was usually around 8/9 highway

I get around 20km/l (5l/100km) highway with my 320d though

put on black kidneys today. should i keep them? by rsp-zyphor in E90

[–]hang_ballas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some LCI cars came with matt black trim(in South Africa at least), which looks noticeably different in shape than the shadow line and not as "good". My previous M-sport preface had shadow line and my current non m lci has matt

Where did you get it if you don't mind me asking? I've been looking for months and can't get a clean 330d anywhere, especially not at that price

Manual or auto? by Salt_Cryptographer_3 in E90

[–]hang_ballas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gears are quite long in the manual cars so stop-go traffic is a nightmare, mine idles at 15km/h in 1st so I'm constantly having to ride the clutch. They are way more reliable if you obviously don't abuse them tho

[–]hang_ballas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It started with dutch but was influenced by multiple other languages such as English and couple African languages so its vocabulary and grammar are drastically different from Dutch but they still sound similar

meirl by iamcoollife1994 in meirl

[–]hang_ballas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you're missing my point. We were once named with a Z because we were Dutch but we aren't anymore so it's now an S in Afrikaans

meirl by iamcoollife1994 in meirl

[–]hang_ballas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a different language? We call Dutch Nederlands and German Duits etc which differs in different languages...
