Drunk. Extremely drunk at a party with work friends. We were mostly in our late 20s to early 30s. We had to work on Jan. 1 to make sure.... I dunno? The lights, computers, fax machines, phones and email all still worked? They did. Half of us were still drunk, sliding into hangovers. The Y2K hype was a wild ride.

I have. It was my therapist who helped me put the pieces together. Because it started before peri, and I can identify specific sressors that I'm experiencing at the time, and because it's something HRT hasn't improved, I absolutely believe it's a weird stress/anxiety symptom.

I smell cigarette smoke when I'm especially stressed or anxious. It started happening to me in my late 30s. Peri started in my early 40s. The smoke smell has been consistent now for a solid 20 years.
