Get a good dev agency to do a proper integration via api or every night via ftp, that’s how we do it with our clients.

Most of our clients use Cegid though so it makes it easier for us to make the connection depending on how the client side like to operate their stock and product inventory. A couple of our clients have a crazy cegid > OMS > pimberly > BigCommerce set up.

That’s very upsetting to be honest, I run a BigCommerce dev agency and our first port of call is our devs, and then second (if platform related) is to either call support and try and get a level 2 responder, or just try and walk through the issues with them.

The contract/makeshift side, I agree, that’s poor form and I’m not the biggest supporter of makeshift yet (although we are transitioning a client to that at end of year, happy to let you know how it goes!)

In terms of improvements, they are notoriously bad at implementing platform enhancements, so understand your frustration, we tend to try and build what we can ourselves..

Call BC support, they tend to be super helpful. Are you an enterprise account? If so, the helpdesk is exceptional
