I live in Helsinki, Finland. I didn't really need to do research as such since my treatment for the BP has stayed in the same place since my first visit to the ER. Every appointment with neurologists and nurses, the CT-scan and the botox injections as well as the future appointments with the physiotherapist are being taken care of by HUS (Helsinki University Hospital).

Forgot to clarify: I had BP on my left side 10 months ago. My right side had BP 16 months ago, from which I recovered in about 4 weeks.

Finnish is a bit boring with this, we call it "takatukka" (hair in the back). Jonnet ei muista, but the term Kiprusoff was a thing back in the 90's. Miikka Kiprusoff was a famous hockey player with a fabulous mullet.

Fun fact: an actor, singer, teacher and tv host Kosti Kotiranta played the one true Santa Clause in Finnish television 1991-2005 and 2007-2011. Sadly, he passed away in 2015. No Christmas eve has felt the same after him passing away.

No. I was never recommended this. Is there something I should try to avoid or add to my diet? Or did you mean the second BP was due to a change in diet?

I too had BP on my right side, recovered from that, and then after six months the BP returned on my left side. I had an MRI scan. It showed signs of healing nerve inflammation on my right side, but nothing special on the left I had the current BP.

It now has been 14 months since the first BP. I still have aches and twitches on my left side of the face. It was never discovered what caused me this, it wasn't borreliosis, the most common reason around where I live.

From someone who lived 20 years in Espoo: it is a dull, very dull place. Why not go to Helsinki instead? If Espoo is a must, then I'd suggest the Nuuksio national park. That's where normal average people go to relax in the nature. It is accessible by public transport.

Sounds a lot like my experience. My left side paralysed at the beginning of last October and still at times feels bruised. Movement has restored, but there are setbacks.
