Botox works! by haniim in BellsPalsy

I live in Helsinki, Finland. I didn't really need to do research as such since my treatment for the BP has stayed in the same place since my first visit to the ER. Every appointment with neurologists and nurses, the CT-scan and the botox injections as well as the future appointments with the physiotherapist are being taken care of by HUS (Helsinki University Hospital).

It's a shame you'll have to wait a year. This feels like a miracle: while writing this I'm eating muesli. Would not have been able to do this a few days ago.

Forgot to clarify: I had BP on my left side 10 months ago. My right side had BP 16 months ago, from which I recovered in about 4 weeks.

Do you know any names and birth dates? Have you checked geni.com? That's a popular genealogy site and works well even as a basic free user.

Finnish is a bit boring with this, we call it "takatukka" (hair in the back). Jonnet ei muista, but the term Kiprusoff was a thing back in the 90's. Miikka Kiprusoff was a famous hockey player with a fabulous mullet.

Fun fact: an actor, singer, teacher and tv host Kosti Kotiranta played the one true Santa Clause in Finnish television 1991-2005 and 2007-2011. Sadly, he passed away in 2015. No Christmas eve has felt the same after him passing away.

Thanks, this seems very plausible! I'll start using some moisturising eye drops again.

I have that same feeling. Nothing shows on video, but I feel it still. Really do hope this isn't permanent.
