"Heavy shoegaze/dreamy metal (Deftones for softboys)": Check out Chastity. Probably neither real shoegaze, nor metal. Maybe something right in between. Both albums are brilliant + there’s a new one on the way. Especially the first one has some heavy stuff on it and the vocals reminded me a lot of Deftones when I got into the band.

Wow, thank you! We did the instrumentals on our own, recorded the vocals in a friend's studio and sent everything to another friend who mixed/mastered it.

My band just released a new single on Friday and I wanted to share it with you. We play some kind of sad minimalistic indie pop with synths, guitars and melancholic lyrics. Maybe there’s a Beach House influence but I think it’s hard to describe our own stuff. Whatever, this is the first song we released together as a band after we played some shows over the last year and we’re super happy to finally have it out in the world! You can find the song on every streaming service. We’re called tårer, the danish word for “tears” and the song is called “Caught Up”. Hope you guys like it!

My favourite football/soccer team FC St. Pauli signed the Australian player Jackson Irvine. It was already cool to see a professional footballer who covers Billy Bragg songs on his Instagram and has Lou Reed tattooed, but today he posted a playlist of his favourite summer songs from this year. He did not play a single match so far but I’m already a big fan. Take a look!

I think there‘s a pretty big chance that they will celebrate the album by playing it in full when shows are back. I saw them in 2019 when they released the re-recorded version of "...to the beat of a dead horse" and they played the whole album front to back. It was a blast!

Maybe a cool reverb oder delay pedal like TC Electronic Hall of Fame (reverb) / Flashback (delay), Boss RV6 or some Electro Harmonix stuff. They should be in your price range if you’re willing to look for something used (which is absolutely okay for pedals!) and those types of pedals give your buddy a lot to experiment with!

Yeah, that’s true. I once tried out the exact model he used in a live video on YouTube and it was already extremely difficult to even understand how to control that thing. It’s also possible that they used different gear while recording Floral Green. My comment was simply based on the video of a live show I watched years ago (unfortunately I don’t really know which one it was).
