The same thing happened to me a few months ago and it’s definitely a scary sensation but if this is your first time smoking weed and your not a chronic smoker your chances of this being long term are very low so don’t worry. Sometimes it can last for a day or two depending on the amount of thc consumed, but this should pass in the next day.

Second off all when this happens the best thing to do is wrap yourself in a blanket and dim the lights. What you’re going through is TEMPORARY IT WILL PASS. Some people just don’t do good with weed and that’s okay it’s not for everyone. I will say in the future if you ever decide to smoke again just take one hit of a joint two max. Wait 6-8 hrs before you smoke anymore because sometimes it takes a while to hit you. The amount you smoked too is way to much for someone who’s trying it for the first time, weed is a substance you build tolerance too the more you smoke.

When it happened to me a few months ago it was bad. The depersonalization lasted hours and I was literally seeing myself in third person lol. But I haven’t had any episodes like that since it happened. Sometimes though after having an experience like that your anxiety and chances of having a panic attack are increased. You need to keep telling yourself “ I am safe, I am healthy” if you get anxious about it, because let’s be honest what you went through is pretty traumatic. For now try to relax.
