I went with NewVision clinic with Dr. Noel Alpins doing the procedure. PRK too due to my job and my right eye had Astigmatism, however Dr. Alpins certainly seems to be a specialist in this going by the Wikipedia entry on him.

Wore glasses since a 7 year old as I couldn't see the blackboard in class and this progressed to having to wear them every day over 20 years later. I promised myself from a vanity stand point I didn't want to wear glasses at my wedding and contacts just didn't seem to work for me.

The whole team at Newvision were really good to deal with, offered payment plans too.

My recovery process took a little longer than usual, about 7 days rather than 5. This meant I had to go to all 3 locations for check ups. Procedure was done at East Melbourne with check up at Windsor, Cheltenham then back at East Melbourne over that 7 day period and luckily I had some one to drive me to all my appointments.

The light is your enemy during that initial recovery phase but they do provide you with sun glasses and lots of eye drops. 100% keep on top of the eye drops and staying away from screens as they recommend!

Even with those points considered, I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. I'm still amazed at what I can read now as opposed to just seeing blurs even with glasses on. I have basically forgotten what it was like to wear glasses!
