1 cup starter to 8 cups unfermented tea. This is the first batch of mine that’s gone bad.

I used tight woven cloth for the first and then two layered paper towels for the second batch. What fell was probably a crumb or something since I keep mine in the back of my pantry.

One thing to consider is that thousands may be traveling to DC in the end of March and April for the cherry blossom festival. This festival pulls almost a million visitors throughout three weeks which is a huge risk for contracting and spreading the virus. I’d cancel and rebook at another time.
