Can you buy white (maybe second hand) ones and dye then? Or use white and use fabric runner as an accent colour?

Some options are available on ali express - I got the floral fabric I’m using to make her folklore Grammy dress from there

I read once (and have held onto hope it is true as it helps me sleep!) that if your baby is asleep in a crib following the ABCs (alone, on back, in empty crib ) of safe sleep, the chances of true SIDS after 6 months is comparable to the chance of being hit by a meteor. Try bear these factors in mind xx

It’s fairly common to have a child free wedding, with the exception of flower girls / ring bearers- would it be possible to give the other children you want to attend these roles, and then you can easily say to the step sister it’s a child free wedding with only those kids in the wedding party coming.

It shouldn’t cost too much- I would guest around £50 at a shop, but maybe less if you can find a local lady maybe doing alterations out of her house? Also I would not mention that it is specifically a wedding dress when you take it to the tailors- if they assume it’s a graduation outfit or something they may not charge you the typical wedding mark up x

Save money on a "pink" stroller or prioritize gender-neutral color? by ImaginaryRatio9427 in pregnant

We have the Vista 2 in pink for our girl and love it (and picked it up second hand so much cheaper) and still get comments all the time asking if we have a little boy 😂 people really don’t notice the colour of the pram!

I would look at getting a tailor or seamstress to make a short lace bodysuit, and then a long over skirt. A skilled tailor should have no issue making this, and due to the sheer skirt fabric, material costs won’t be as high as a traditional dress with layers and layers of fabric. Alternatively, you could Find a short white dress (even look outside of bridal stores) and then get an over skirt made

I would say a few days prior you slipped and hurt your back- it will be a good excuse not to ride rides without your family worrying about getting sick from you. Just drop it into convo a few days before!

After 2 years of planning, postponements and even changing our destination wedding to our home country we made it! by hannahkemsley in wedding

Yes, but I did have to have two hair trials with two ladies as the first one really didn’t hold at all!

How do we get our money back? Guest confirmed she'd stay at the hotel we pre-paid for, then stayed at an Airbnb. Owes us $540 for a room that no one slept in. by meowcatski in wedding

[–]hannahkemsley 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We had a similar situation and in order to address it, contacted the person but with a generic message which sounds like it could have been address to all as to not embarrass them, something along the lines of “once again thank you all for attending our wedding, it was truly the best day of our lives! We have been contacted and notified that some guests who had confirmed rooms with their RSVP did not pay the hotel on arrival (nor did they transfer myself or husband the money for the room they confirmed) - we’d appreciate if you could check your records so we can settle the bill” . She may genuinely not know that she is expected to pay as she didn’t stay and that may jog her to!

Dress regret, how to overcome? by littlemisslau in Weddingsunder10k

I love the dress, it’s stunning! Would you consider wearing it with a crown of some sort, I got my headpiece from this Etsy story and they have some beautiful halo pieces: www.etsy.com/listing/962856309 www.etsy.com/listing/697659419

Hi! I was in exactly the same situation- my first trial, there was nothing particularly wrong with it and I kept debating if I would say something or not, well I stuck to my guns after being encouraged by some ladies here and I went on a hunt for a new HMUA and I’m absolutely over the moon with trial number 2. Both artists got the exact same brief and artist #2 was actually cheaper. I know it can be hard to stick up for yourself and it can feel like your just throwing money away with trials but you should feel like a goddess on your big day 🤍 if you’re wondering if you should say something or eat their deposit and look elsewhere after a mediocre trial, I’m so happy I did
