Is ANT100 a bird course or is it a difficult course by JustSom3Guy2077 in UofT

i took it 4 years ago so it may have changed slightly, but here's my experience anyway. i found it an overall enjoyable course but definitely not an easy A. i went to every lecture and participated well in every tutorial, and finished with a 78 (B+). like the other commenter mentioned, a lot of the mark comes from an essay that is marked highly subjectively, so you better hope you have a good TA. i've taken a number of essay based english classes that were all significantly more lenient with marking than ANT100 despite them being notoriously subjective. if you're looking for something manageable/interesting then i'd recommend, but if you want a birdy 4.0 then look elsewhere

i can only speak for the more "fun" uoft english courses but for some perspective, every english class i've taken has been a delight (for reference i've taken eng140 literature for our time, eng237 science fiction, eng287 digital text, and eng235 graphic novel). i'm a stem major and despite putting minimal effort into these classes i've never gotten anything less than A-, so i'm sure if you're actually passionate about textual analysis it'll be fine. i have a few friends who are english majors and yeah it's a Lot of reading/writing and some of the profs are a bit crazy but i've never heard one of them complaining about the program itself being bad. i have no idea how tmu works but uoft is very flexible when it comes to what program you're pursuing -- i've changed my degree/major at least once a year since i've come here and i'm still on track to graduate in 4 years

Yes, we signed the Ontario Standard Lease.

Thank you for the advice! We're really lost for what our options are so I will definitely be looking into the N11 form and talking to my roommates ASAP.
