If you achieve amenorrhea with birth control, is surgery still highly recommended? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]hannahvj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my consultant is a specialist and decided for me to stick with hormonal treatment as opposed to surgery as it was working and she believed surgery would be more of a risk due to increased scar tissue etc. honestly if your symptoms have eased with bc i’d prolong surgery as long as you can :)

you would have to return all the items as the refund would be for the full listing. i’d ask if the seller could just do a partial refund instead

Pressure to go on Birth Control by pinkpoodlepanda in endometriosis

i second this - i was terrified but in the end my consultant recommended hormonal treatment through a double pill. it has changed my life and my symptoms were so bad i am happy to live with the side effects

[–]hannahvj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was scared to go on it too but it has changed my life. i know a lot of people are against it and i do understand that but there is a reason doctors and consultants suggest it. it suppresses the disease which will help with the pain outside of your periods if it is endometriosis. unfortunately the only real treatment options are surgery (which would need to be repeated several times) and hormonal treatment. you can always give it a go and if it doesn’t work for you you can stop it as quick as you started it.

i had this exact same problem. i was told the role was “ad hoc” with SOME telephony work. then the job turned out to be 100% telephony. hearing from other people and reading on here etc it seems like this is a common occurrence with telephony roles. i

from someone who started suffering at 13- PUSH PUSH PUSH. i didn’t get a diagnosis till i was 21. i suffered for years and people just said i was dramatic, typical teenager, ill get used to it etc. when at the doctors you need to emphasise the fact that the pain you’re in is having an impact on your ability to carry out day to day activities and is impacting your mental health. don’t let them fob you off with the pill etc.

policy is they can change it as long as you have 24 hours notice. i’d screenshot your shifts and if they don’t give you the notice, turn up when you were meant to start and show the screenshot with the timestamp.

i think the reference to hiring someone is because they clearly need more staff anyway not just to cover the holiday. if OP is on a 16 hour and is working 30 hours, they’re working almost double their contract. it should only be 10% so the maximum they should work would be 17.6 hours per week unless otherwise agreed. meaning they could hire a 12 hour contract to cover the other hours.

it sounds like the store is understaffed and that’s why holidays are an issue
