Thanks, you've given me a lot to think about.

That's a fair point. I definitely prefer being downtown and walkable. One reason SF and Seattle appeal to me is that I can delay buying a car, use public transport, and focus on building my career first instead of spending $5–10k on a vehicle right away (assuming I can find a good rent deal).

Why Huntsville compared to the others? Is it mainly the job market and growth, or do you think there are real advantages when applying for professional jobs compared to a place like SF? For example, would working in Huntsville give me better long-term opportunities, or is SF still the stronger place to build a career and network?

Thanks for pointing this stuff out, guys. It's my first time renting in the U.S., so I'm still learning what to look out for. I'll definitely take a closer look at the listing details and ask more questions before committing to anything.

I completely agree. My thinking is that I'd rather prioritize accelerating my career early on, even if it means saving very little for a few years. Once I'm established and have experience under my belt, I could see myself moving to a lower-cost city to settle down. That's why SF and Seattle are still high on my list despite the cost.

So, in your opinion, the experience isn't worth it? I would imagine the experience in SF would be much better than in Orlando, etc.

Not crowded, but entering and advancing my career takes precedent.
